About the Kranken

Whether you’re navigating snowy city streets, winding rural roads, or weekend mountain passes, these tensioners are designed to keep your tire chains firmly in place so you can travel with total confidence. With a secure grip that doesn’t loosen, slip, or fatigue in the cold, the Kranken snow tire chain tensioners gives drivers a safer, more dependable winter driving experience.
Constructed from high-strength, weather-resistant materials, the Kranken stands up to repeated freeze-and-thaw cycles, heavy moisture, and harsh road conditions. The constant-tension design works automatically as you drive, helping your chains self-adjust and stay evenly seated on the tire—dramatically reducing vibration, improving handling, and extending chain life. Installation is fast and frustration-free, even in bad weather, making it an ideal choice for families and commuters who don’t have time for complicated gear.
Tough enough for weekend mountain adventures yet simple and reliable for everyday use, the Kranken gives your vehicle winter-ready confidence in just minutes. Each package is sold as a set of two tensioners.
